Research context

GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue. In vitro and in animal models it has been studied as an agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a), a G-protein-coupled receptor.

Studies in rodent models and isolated pituitary cell systems have characterized its receptor binding and the associated intracellular calcium and cAMP signaling responses. Analytical identity and purity have been confirmed by reversed-phase HPLC and mass spectrometry.
